Current Inspiration

My current sources of inspiration are glass, masks, flowers, and animals. The translucency, play of light, fragility and colour of glass provides endless ideas for paintings for me.

I have recently begun to explore the concept of featuring people and animals in glass like images to portray a vulnerability and fragility that could shatter at any moment.

The mystery and drama associated with masks and masquerade also capture my imagination and inspire me.

Roses, Irises, Lillies and Orchids all have architectural characteristics that are challenging to capture.

The many varieties and colours continue to interest me and I enjoy working on these subjects

Animals
